Peter has
over 27 years of business experience. He has a proven track
record as both an independent consultant and as a senior
executive with P & L responsibility. His administrative
responsibilities have included companies and business units
ranging from 10 to 200 employees in a variety of industries
and spanning publicly traded, private middle market and
entrepreneurial start ups. Previous employers include GE
Information Services, JM Lafferty Associates, Open Systems,
and Quest Direct.
Peter has a

Mark
Glad
Mark Glad,
PHD, performed multiple managerial roles at 3M Company for
23 years. Some of these roles were across several job
functions including product development, intellectual
property management, sales operations, business development,
pricing, and product management. One important function was
to develop, refine, and champion the use of intellectual
property as a part of the division business strategy. A
framework was created to manage development relationships
with key customers, resulting in groundbreaking joint
development agreements with each.

Tim
Bates
Tim Bates has
over 25 year of business experience in the computer software
and e-commerce market space, He has been CEO, President as
well as head of Sales and Marketing at technology companies
in the United States and Europe. He has setup and managed
distribution networks across the United State and Europe and
been involved in helping companies raise tens of millions of
dollars in venture funds. He has also help develop and
create of a number of leading edge software and hardware
technologies in the area of computer graphics, digital
cameras, the web, and advanced analytics and database
systems.

Mark
Harvat
Mark Harvat,
CPA, has over 20 years of experience assisting companies
with the process of choosing, implementing and managing
PC-based accounting systems. His previous experience
includes sales and training responsibilities at Open
Systems, starting profitable PC consulting practices for
Coopers & Lybrand, Clifton Gunderson & Co. and Schenck
Business Solutions. While at Schenck he assisted with
developing the direction and managing the Schenck Technology
Solutions Group as it grew from $300K to over $7M in annual
revenues. In 2003 he started MARRA Enterprises to provide
technology consulting and sales and technology training.

Pedersen, PTSLaw
Brad Pedersen
is a partner with Patterson, Thuente, Skaar & Christensen.
He concentrates his practice in the areas of
high-technology, computer, software and medical device
patent prosecution strategy, licensing and litigation. Brad
provides clients with practical and pragmatic advice on the
development, management and enforcement of IP portfolios,
based on his wide range of experiences. As an inventor,
entrepreneur and former in- house counsel, he has a
real-world foundation from which to create effective IP
portfolios and strategies.
Brad is one
of the more knowledgeable IP attorneys in the U.S. when it
comes to the recent patent reform movement. He actively
follows the developments occurring at the agency,
legislative and judicial levels, and educates clients and
colleagues, by writing and presenting on the imminent
changes and strategies for dealing with the reforms. In
2007, Brad co-presented with USPTO Deputy Commissioner John
Love on the USPTO's Final Rules on Claims and
Continuations.
Brad is the author of several articles on
various aspects of patent reform and rules, including first-
to-file and inter partes reexaminations.
