The eCase
Dictionary service helps legal groups employ a scientific
approach to discovering, developing and defining a list of
defensible case specific search terms using case specific
documents.
What is an eCase Dictionary
An eCase Dictionary
(ECD) contains
the foundation key search words as well as the concepts that
will be used to search for and reduce the large piles of
electronic documents encountered in the review process.
An eCase Dictionary
environment offers the following capabilities:
An ECD is
made up of key concepts extracted from case electronic
documents. Using an eCase Dictionary, lawyers can determine
different relationships between documents and specific
keywords and complex concepts. With this resource in hand,
a lawyer can then facilitate a cost effective review
process.
Additionally, because an ECD
can provide knowledge early in a case regarding key concepts
a lawyer early on can understand how to handle different
data sets prior to engaging in a full out review process as
well as gage what the associated costs might be.
